“My great grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in her later years. It was then that I discovered the healing power of music. Whenever I sang with her, it was like a spark lit up in her life. She was able to recall the music and sing along with me word for word.

In 2023, I received a scholarship to attend the “Arts in Medicine” conference at the University of Florida. I was able to shadow a Music Therapist and received positive feedback from on the friendliness and joy that I was able to bring to the patients and healthcare staff. I learned so much about the role of artists in healthcare spaces and ways that artists can help their local communities.

I am currently providing music engagement performances to nursing homes, rehab centers and hospitals in South Florida. And I am developing new projects that involve arts and healing to make a positive impact on my community.”
